Appointments to apply for travel documents or extensions of stay can be booked via the Net
29 December 2003
The Immigration Department announces that with immediate effect (December 29), members of the public can use the Internet to book appointments at Immigration Branch Offices to submit applications for travel documents or extensions of stay.
The website is www.esd.gov.hk.
"The public can make appointments at any time via their own computers or the ESD kiosks," an Immigration Department spokesman said.
Appointment booking services are free of charge.
By using the online booking service, members of the public will avoid the need to queue at Immigration Branch Offices to make appointments.
"The system allows individuals to make up to a maximum of four appointments in one booking," added the spokesman. "They can select appointments for the 12 working days following the day they book. After making appointments, they can return to the website to view on the appointments, change or cancel the appointments."
For further information, please visit the Immigration Department Homepage www.immd.gov.hk or call the department's hotline at 2824 6111.
