Immigration hotline service

The Immigration Department today (July 22) said there will be a temporary disruption to its hotline services on Saturday afternoon (July 24).

The department is updating the fixed telecommunications network at its headquarters from 2.30pm to 5pm on Saturday and there will be a temporary disruption of between 10 and 15 minutes.

A department spokesman apologised for any inconvenience the disruption may cause.

The following hotlines will be affected:

General Enquiries: 2824 6111
Enquiries on HK Special Administrative Region Passport: 2824 1212
Enquiry on Right of Abode: 2824 4055 and
Handling Requests for Assistance from HK Residents in Distress outside HK (during office hours): 2829 3010

For Hong Kong residents in distress outside Hong Kong seeking assistance outside office hours, they may contact the department's Duty Officer of the Harbour Control Section at (852) 2543 1958.
