Please confirm that there is road access to the SBCP from Hong Kong that the contractor can use for delivery of equipment. If no, please let us know the access arrangement.

Answer:

The existing road networks between Hong Kong and the Mainland provide access to the SBCP.

Please confirm that the Government will be responsible for and pay all the import taxes (if required by the Chinese Government) for equipment / material delivered to SBCP before it becomes HKMA.

Answer:

According to section 7.5 of Part VII, tenderers shall note that by the time of delivery, installation and testing of AVCS equipment and carrying out associated site preparation work at Shenzhen Bay Control Point, it may still be an area in Mainland China under the jurisdiction of government of Mainland China. Under such circumstances, the Contractor shall undertake to conform in all aspects with the laws of Mainland China. Tenderers shall take into consideration of any additional cost so incurred.
