Application for the statement of travel records can be submitted by post with a duly completed application form (ID 697), supporting documents and the prescribed fee (in crossed cheque, bank draft or cashier order) to the Records Centre, Immigration Department, Immigration Tower, 7 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong. No cash should be sent along with the application. If you are the parent of the data subject who is a minor, or are authorized in writing by the data subject, or appointed by a court to manage the affairs of the data subject, then you can make the application for a statement of travel records for the data subject, together with documentary proof to support it. |

Can I apply for a statement of travel records of my child who is under 18 years of age? |

You may apply for a statement of travel records of your child who is under 18 years of age. You have to submit photocopies of your child's identification documents and the proof of relationship with your child such as birth certificate. Please also submit one photocopy of the particulars and signature pages of your proof of identity (e.g. travel document). You have to sign on the application form and the signature should be identical with that on the photocopy of the proof of identity submitted. |

Can I apply for a statement of travel records of a deceased family member? If so, what is the documentary requirement? |

You may apply for a statement of travel records of a deceased close family member such as parent, spouse or child. You have to state clearly on the application form the reason of applying for the travel records. You also have to submit photocopies of death certificate, identification documents of the deceased and your proof of relationship with the deceased family member. Please also submit a photocopy of the particulars and signature pages of your proof of identity (e.g. travel document). You have to fill in the personal particulars of your deceased family member and sign on the application form yourself. The signature should be identical to that on the photocopy of the proof of identity submitted. |

How long does it normally take to process the application for a statement of travel records? |

It normally takes around 10 working days to process the application for a statement of travel records after all necessary documents and the fee have been received (working days mean Monday to Friday excluding General Holidays). The time of mail services is excluded from the processing time. |

A statement of travel records contains data subject's English name, date of birth, arrival and departure dates during the requested period and the name of the control points through which the data subject completed immigration clearance as a passenger. |

The fee for a statement of travel records is HK$160. The fee can be paid by crossed cheque, bank draft or cashier order payable to "The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region". Cash should not be sent through post. Post-dated cheque will not normally be accepted. The application must be submitted with the payment. |
