Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Document of Identity for Visa Purposes

Eligibility

Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Document of Identity for Visa Purposes are issued to the following Hong Kong residents :-

*

persons who are on limit of stay in the HKSAR and are unable to obtain a national passport or a travel document of any other country or territory;

*

persons who are on unconditional stay but do not have the right of abode in the HKSAR, and are unable to obtain a national passport or a travel document of any other country or territory; or

*

persons not of Chinese nationality who have the right of abode in the HKSAR and hold a permanent identity card of the region, but are unable to obtain a national passport or a travel document of any other country or territory.


Types of Hong Kong (HKSAR) Document of Identity for Visa Purposes

* 44 pages and valid for 7 years
* 92 pages and valid for 7 years

* ID 437 - application form for HKSAR Document of Identity for Visa Purposes (For persons 16 years of age and over)
* ID 437A - application form for HKSAR Document of Identity for Visa Purposes (For children under 16 years of age)
