List of information / supporting documents required for visa application for employment/training in Hong Kong
1. For an entry visa application for employment in Hong Kong, please provide the following :-
 |
an application form ID(E) 936, with relevant parts duly completed and signed; |
 |
a copy of the sponsor's Business Registration Certificate, Certificate of Incorporation and/or Memorandum of Incorporation and Articles of Association; |
 |
financial standing of the sponsor/sponsor's company (income tax return, trading profit and loss account, profit tax return); |
 |
company staff list with salary offered and position held and list of expatriate staff previously or currently recruited from overseas; |
 |
a copy of the applicant's service contract or letter of appointment with details of post, salaries and benefits; |
 |
full description of the applicant's post; |
 |
details, with proofs, of applicant's academic qualifications and experience relevant to the post, e.g. copies of diplomas, certificates and testimonials; |
 |
a letter, with supporting proof from the employer (if possible), stating the reason why the post cannot be filled locally; |
 |
if the applicant is to replace someone already working in Hong Kong, the personal particulars and his whereabouts (if known) should be given; |
 |
if the applicant is to fill a new post, explain why his/her services are essential; and |
 |
evidence of the applicant's past residence in Hong Kong (if any).

In addition to the above-mentioned documents, other information/documents in support of the application may be required by the processing officer in individual cases. |
2. For an entry visa application for training in Hong Kong, please provide the following :-
 |
an application form ID(E) 936, with relevant parts duly completed and signed; |
 |
a copy of the sponsor's Business Registration Certificate, Certificate of Incorporation and/or Memorandum of Incorporation and Articles of Association; |
 |
financial standing of the sponsor/sponsor's company (income tax return, trading profit and loss account, profit tax return); |
 |
details, with proofs, of applicant's academic qualifications and experience, e.g. copies of diplomas, certificates and testimonials; |
 |
a copy of the employment contract or agreement; |
 |
details of the training programme; |
 |
an undertaking that the trainee will, in fact, be receiving training in the sponsor's organisation until the end of the agreed period, after which he will return to his own country.

3. For an entry visa application for employment as a domestic helper in Hong Kong, please provide the following :-
 |
Visa/Extension of Stay Application Form for Domestic Helper from Abroad ID988A, with a recent photograph of the Helper affixed on it; |
 |
An original copy of the new standard Employment Contract ID 407. The Employment Contract should also be notarised by the relevant Consulate or Commission in HKSAR if so required; |
 |
Application for Employment of Domestic Helper from Abroad ID988B; |
 |
Photocopy of the Helper's travel document; |
 |
Copy of the employer's Hong Kong Identity Card. If the employer is not a Hong Kong permanent resident, person with right to land or on unconditional stay, please also provide a copy of the travel document showing the employer's personal particulars and the latest Hong Kong Immigration stamp; |
 |
Copy of Helper's Hong Kong Identity Card (if any); |
 |
Proof of the employer's financial position; (Copy) |
 |
Proof of the employer's residential address (Original & Copy); |
 |
A testimonial showing the helper has at least 2 years' working experience as a domestic helper; |
 |
An acknowledgement card ID 813; and |
 |
Two mailing labels ID 839. |
