This form is applicable to visa / entry permit application for: imported workers, investment, education, residence /dependents, transit, leisure / social / business visits. It is not applicable to visa / entry permit applications from Chinese residents of the Mainland of China [other than imported workers, Mainland residents for study under private capacity , dependants of entrants who have been admitted to take up employment (as a professional, investor or for training) or full-time studies in undergraduate or post-graduate programmes in locally degree-awarding institutions, or dependants of entrants admitted under the Capital Investment Entrant Scheme or the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme, and holders of foreign passports residing in Mainland], and Chinese residents of Taiwan coming for visit purpose. Applicant should complete the relevant parts of the application form according to his / her intended purpose of entry and the instructions on the form. Please read the 'Guidance Notes' [ID(E) 937] carefully before completing the form. |

For Transit or Visit Applications - Employment and Visit Visas Section, Immigration Department, 24/F, Immigration Tower, 7 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.

Application can be submitted through local sponsor to the above addresses or submitted by applicant to the nearest Chinese diplomatic and consular missions in his/her place of domicile.

To shorten processing time, for transit/visit applications, application forms and supporting documents can be sent by fax to (852) 2824 1133 in the first instance. However, the original copy of the duly completed application form and the photographs required should be sent immediately to the HKSAR Immigration Department by air mail. A visa/entry permit will be issued only on receipt of an original, properly completed visa/entry permit application form. This arrangement is not applicable to other applications. |
