Immigration Department follows up on traffic accident in Yangmingshan in Taipei City

Regarding media enquiries concerning the traffic accident in Yangmingshan in Taipei City, the Immigration Department (ImmD) today (August 29) responded as follows:

After learning of the incident, the ImmD has immediately contacted the Hong Kong Economic, Trade and Cultural Office (Taiwan)(HKETCO) for information and contacted the Hong Kong residents involved. Among the four Hong Kong residents involved, three were confirmed to be slightly injured in the incident, while the remaining one was not injured. All of them have been discharged from hospital and the ImmD has accorded assistance according to their wishes. The ImmD will monitor the development and keep close contact with the HKETCO and the injured to render practical assistance.

Hong Kong residents travelling outside Hong Kong who need assistance may call the 24-hour hotline of the Assistance to Hong Kong Residents Unit of ImmD at (852) 1868.
