Visa requirements relaxed for nationals of Cambodia

27 February 2017

The Immigration Department (ImmD) announced today (February 27) that the visa requirements for nationals of Cambodia will be relaxed. With effect from March 1, 2017, nationals of Cambodia may apply to enter Hong Kong for employment (under the General Employment Policy, the Supplementary Labour Scheme or as foreign domestic helpers), investment (to establish or join in business), training and study. They may also apply for entry under the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme, the Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates and the Admission Scheme for the Second Generation of Chinese Hong Kong Permanent Residents.

"Under the existing policy, visa requirements are subject to review from time to time and changes will be introduced if circumstances so warrant. We believe that the relaxation of visa requirements for Cambodian nationals will help foster co-operation and exchanges between Hong Kong and Cambodia," an ImmD spokesman said.

Detailed information on the relevant entry arrangements and admission schemes is available at the website of the ImmD at www.immd.gov.hk
