Quality Migrant Admission Scheme - Make your dreams come true – Script (audio description)

The screen shows the sunshining view from Tsim Sha Tsui towards Victoria Harbour and Central. There are a lot of high-rise buildings. Then, the screen shows the view of a forest of skyscrapers from a tram window. Ms Tang Wei is reading a script on a tram. She then raises her head and looks out of the window.

Ms Tang Wei Voice Over:“There is a door called ‘Opportunities’.”

The screen shows a virtual door surrounded by the word “opportunities” in different languages appearing in the central business district. A foreign male talent then comes out of the door and smiles with self-confidence.

Ms Tang Wei Voice Over:“Opportunities” means if you are capable, you will have a chance to succeed.”

The screen shows Hong Kong's central business district with high-rise buildings all around. Ms Tang Wei is looking out of the tram window. And the super of “Tang Wei, World-renowned actress who came to Hong Kong under the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme ” is displayed on the screen. Then, the screen shows a crew of filmmakers shooting on a street.

Ms Tang Wei Voice Over:“Opportunities” means when you face an unpredictable challenge, you have the courage to step forward and give it a try. Coming to Hong Kong was one of the most important opportunities in my life.”

The screen shows some film stills of Ms Tang Wei appearing on the walls of some skyscrapers.

Ms Tang Wei Voice Over:“Everyone here can choose the most suitable roles for themselves.”

The screen shows Ms Tang Wei getting off the tram, looking up towards the scene in front with a pleasant smile.

Ms Tang Wei Voice Over: “I hope more and more people would come across the opportunity I had and create more wonderful stories together.”

The screen shows the overlooking view of the bustling scenery of the Victoria Harbour from the Peak. Then, Ms Tang Wei walks past the central business district.

Ms Tang Wei Voice Over:“There is a door called ‘Connections’.”

The screen shows a virtual door surrounded by the word “connections” in different languages appearing amid some commercial buildings. A foreign female talent comes out of the door. Then, the screen shows Ms Tang Wei looking up to the sky, seeing an aeroplane flying to Shanghai, Korea and the United States.

Ms Tang Wei Voice Over:“Hong Kong enjoys geographical advantages, allowing it to connect with the largest markets of the world.”

The screen shows an animation clip in which a sailing boat is sailing across the sea.

Ms Tang Wei Voice Over:“As a free port for over a century, it has a mix of people of many different races.”

The camera zooms out to show a map of Hong Kong and its neighbouring countries. Light beams representing information are linking Hong Kong with places all over the world.

Ms Tang Wei Voice Over:“Advanced information infrastructure and freedom of information allow Hong Kong to stay connected and updated with technologies and cultures all over the world.”

The screen shows the hustle and bustle of the Hong Kong International Airport. The sky gradually darkens after dusk. An aeroplane isflying to different parts of the world.

Ms Tang Wei Voice Over:“With the most efficient international airport, every corner of the world is within easy reach.”

The screen shows a virtual door surrounded by the words “Ideal home” in different languages appearing in a park. Then, an Asian male talent comes out of the door.

Ms Tang Wei Voice Over:“There is a door called ‘Ideal Home. Hong Kong is the safest city in the world.’”

The screen shows two talents chatting happily in a cafe.

Ms Tang Wei Voice Over:“With a sound legal system and a fair system, everyone can lead a peaceful life here.”

The screen shows Ms Tang Wei walking on a lawn and playing with a little girl. Then the screen shows the night view of the Victoria Harbour. Then, the screen shows another three talents drinking and having fun with their friends in a bar.

Ms Tang Wei Voice Over:“As well as a vibrant city life, Hong Kong also has world-class country parks.”

The screen shows the view of Hong Kong’s country side. A family of three of an talent is hiking. Then , the screen shows some talents working in different workplaces are full of self-confidence.

Ms Tang Wei Voice Over:“Comfortable working atmosphere and close neighborhood relationships.”

The screen shows three talents outside a seafood restaurant. The waiter passes a lobster to them, who take a “selfie” of themselves happily. Then, the screen shows the footages of some big events of Hong Kong, such as the Hong Kong Marathon, Formula-E, and Rugby Seven.

Ms Tang Wei Voice Over:“What’s more, it is filled with great passion and an intense sense of humanity.”

The screen shows two talents learning “Tai Chi” from a Tai Chi master. Then, the screen shows Ms Tang Wei looking into the distance from Hong Kong’s financial district.

Ms Tang Wei Voice Over:“In 2008, I enrolled in the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme. It opened up the door to my amazing journey. I hope you will do the same.

The screen shows Hong Kong’s core financial district. Ms Tang Wei is walking alongside the Hon Chow Chung-kong and Dr Allan Zeman. They then look towards an open space nearby and see a number of talents coming to Hong Kong from different places through virtual doors.

The screen shows Dr Allan Zeman smiling against a backdrop of the financial district and speaking in front of the camera, and the super of “Dr Allan Zeman, Leading Hong Kong entrepreneur” is displayed on the screen. He then looks into the distance.

Dr Allan Zeman Voice Over:“I have been living in Hong Kong for nearly 50 years and have witnessed so many changes in different phase. I still adore Hong Kong because it is a place that provides everyone with equal opportunities.”

The screen shows the Hon Chow Chung-kong smiling against a backdrop of the financial district and speaking in front of the camera, and the super of “The Hon Chow Chung-kong, Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Admission of Quality Migrants and Professionals” is displayed on the screen. He then looks into the distance.

The Hon Chow Chung-kong Voice Over (in Cantonese):“When I was young, I studied and worked abroad but eventually I chose to return to Hong Kong because the countless advantages here can help everyone to achieve their ideals.”

The screen shows some quick cuts of talents smiling with self-confidence in front of the camera. And lastly, Ms Tang Wei also smiles with self-confidence in front of the camera.

Then , the screen shows Ms Tang Wei, the Hon Chow Chung-kong, Dr Allan Zeman and the talents standing with self-confidence against a backdrop of the Victoria Harbour.
