Temporary facilitation arrangement for French visitors to extend their stay following the Paris attacks announced by Immigration Department

16 Nov 2015

In response to the terrorists' attacks in Paris, the Immigration Department (ImmD) announced that, with immediate effect, French visitors affected by this incident can apply for extension of stay if they wish to remain in Hong Kong. The applications will be given special attention. Under normal circumstances, the ImmD would approve the applications on the same day.

The ImmD has also informed the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong of this arrangement. Any enquiries about the arrangement should be made to the ImmD enquiry hotline on (852) 2824 6111.
