Use 1868 Chatbot by the ImmD Mobile Application

Hong Kong residents in distress outside Hong Kong can follow the steps below to use 1868 Chatbot via the Hong Kong Immigration Department Mobile Application (ImmD Mobile App):

  1. ImmD Mobile App can be downloaded or updated to the latest version free of charge from the Apple App Store, Google Play, Huawei AppGallery or the Homepage of the Immigration Department (You may download/update the ImmD Mobile App here);
  2. Open the ImmD Mobile App and tap “Contact the Assistance to Hong Kong Residents Unit” under “Popular Services” on the main page;
  3. Tap the “1868 Chatbot” icon;
  4. Start conversation with 1868 Chatbot;
  5. For further assistance, tap the “Contact Staff” icon to contact the Assistance to Hong Kong Residents Unit via instant messaging or network data call.

The main function of 1868 Chatbot is to provide general information relating to the assistance to Hong Kong residents outside Hong Kong, e.g. lost travel document. For other immigration enquiries, please contact general enquiry hotline at (852) 2824 6111 or email to enquiry@immd.gov.hk.
